Videos: Consecration and blessing of art honoring the lives of African Americans killed by police

Epworth

Updated: Nov 15, 2024

On May 6, 2021 Epworthians gathered on zoom for a special dedication and consecration service of art work created for the Beyond February Altar Project. Through study, reflection, research and prayer, church members created art pieces depicting the lives of African American persons killed by police. Rather than focusing on the death of these individuals, these pieces depict and address the life, the love, the community, the family of the fallen.
